What you can do yourself, at once
- Sign out and stop using the app. Open FaceConnect, then Settings → Sign out. This ends your sign-in and deletes what the app kept on that phone (your sign-in tokens, settings and the saved business logo). Uninstalling the app does the same.
- Disconnect Telegram in the app, if you connected it, to stop receiving messages there.
- Refuse permissions (camera, location, notifications) in the phone's settings. The features that need them then stop working.
Deleting your account and data is the business's decision
FacePass is a human-resources tool: the business is the controller of its employees' attendance, visitor and face data, and Ajaxter processes it for the business. Because attendance records may be needed for payroll, labour law, audits and disputes, a business can delete its employees' data, but an employee cannot make the service delete it on request. Your account ends when your employer removes your app access or your profile.
- To ask for your account, face data or records to be removed or corrected, ask your employer's HR or administrator. They can remove your app access (FaceConnect then stops working at once, and your sign-in, push-notification token and Telegram link are removed) and your employee profile (which deletes your face photos and face templates from the service).
- You can also write to hello@ajaxter.co with your Tenant ID, employee code and business name. We pass your request to the business and tell you that we did; we act on it only on the business's instruction, except where the law requires us to act ourselves.
What happens to data after the business removes it
- Your FaceConnect sign-in, push-notification token, Telegram link and the mobile number you gave for messages are removed.
- Face photos and templates are deleted when the employee profile is removed.
- Photos kept with attendance scans are deleted automatically after a set time (90 days by default).
- Attendance and visitor records are kept or deleted as the business decides, within its own legal duties. When a business deletes its whole account, everything of that business is permanently removed after a 72-hour grace period.
- Short-lived technical records (one-time codes, expired sessions, rate-limit counters) are deleted automatically. Encrypted backups age out on their normal schedule.
More about what we collect and why is in the privacy policy. A business that wants to delete its whole FacePass account can follow the steps on the data deletion page.
